Enhanced P&D Workflow for Same-Day & Next-Day Delivery

We are thrilled to announce the release of the upgraded P&D workflow, now available in Onro! This update introduces a new workflow and features designed to boost efficiency and streamline your same-day and next-day operations. Introducing smart processes and tools, this upgrade will smoothen the logistics and fast operation for all your deliveries.

By enabling you to manage pickups, handle inbound parcels at hubs, and optimize delivery routes, the new P&D workflow is designed to give your overall performance a boost and meet growing business demands.

Key Features and Enhancements

The P&D workflow is designed for same-day or next-day deliveries, where one driver picks up an order and stores it in a hub or warehouse before another driver completes the delivery. You can see the steps below.

New Concept: Routes

We’ve added a new concept to this order type: routes. Orders are now grouped into routes, which are then assigned to drivers responsible for pickups or deliveries. Routes feature optimized directions, enabling your company to manage operations more efficiently.

Simplified Parcel Scanning Process

We’ve made parcel scanning easier by adding it to three key steps:

  • Pickup: Drivers now scan parcels at the collection point, making it simple to gather everything in bulk, with automation helping out.
  • Inbound at the Hub: When parcels reach the hub or warehouse, our new Dispatcher App steps in. It helps operators scan and process orders, and then assigns them to new routes for delivery.
  • Loading for Delivery: Before hitting the road, drivers do one last scan to load the parcels, ensuring everything’s ready for the final drop-off.

Getting Started with the P&D Order Type

To start using the new P&D order type, follow these simple steps:

  • Service Setup: Create new services using the P&D order type.
  • Driver App Configuration: Enable the “Routes” tab in your drivers’ app, allowing them to view and work with their assigned routes.
  • Dispatcher App Installation: Download and install the Dispatcher App on your Android devices, then log in as a user.

Once you’ve completed these steps, you’re all set to start using the new P&D workflow. Enjoy the enhanced efficiency!
