How It Works — Technical Flow

Here is a simple technical explanation:

1. A Shopify merchant (seller) uses the Zapiet – Pickup + Delivery Shopify app.

• It provides local delivery to their customers at checkout. Their customers (buyers) select the date, delivery time frame, delivery instructions, and a postal code (to ensure there is a delivery service there).
• The Shopify merchant selected Onro as the fleet management platform in the settings of the Zapiet Shopify app and set the API Key (The API Key is generated for that merchant by the courier company that is using Onro).

2. Merchant orders entering the courier company platform.

• When their customers select the local delivery method, the order will be created in the Zapiet Shopify app, and at the same time, will be created in the courier company platform (Onro).
• After this moment, every change in the order status by the courier will be updated on the order status in the Shopify panel.

3. The end-customer (buyer) receives an excellent experience thanks to technology.

• The courier company sends a tracking link and ETA to the receiver (This is also automated in the Onro’s Admin Dashboard: communication feature).

Courier collects POD and COD. All the proof of delivery management and cash on delivery management are done by the courier software side, but the information can be shared with both the merchant and the end-customer.
