Custom Fields: Flexible Data Capture Across Operations

The February 2026 releases introduce major enhancements designed to improve flexibility and operational efficiency. The 15 February update launches Custom Fields, enabling administrators to extend the platform’s data structure and capture tailored information across Customer, Driver, and Order entities using multiple data types, from text and numbers to files and JSON. This empowers courier operations with more precise data collection and streamlined workflows.

The 19 February Dispatcher update adds practical usability improvements, including manual ETA overrides, editable Dispatcher Home Messages with improved visibility, and full-screen viewing and downloading of POD/POP files directly from order details—helping teams manage deliveries with greater control and clarity.

What’s New in February 2026?

We’re excited to announce the release of the latest Dispatcher update, introducing several usability improvements and enhanced order management capabilities.

1. Override Assigned ETA
Dispatchers can now manually update or override the assigned ETA for orders. This provides greater flexibility in handling real-time delivery changes and operational adjustments.

2. Edit Dispatcher Home Message + Updated Effect
The Dispatcher Home Message, previously managed only from the admin panel, can now be edited and updated directly by admins with an improved display effect for better visibility and communication.

3. POD/POP Open & Download in Order Details
Proof of Delivery (POD) and Proof of Pickup (POP) files can now be viewed in full screen directly from the order details page, with an added option to download for record-keeping and sharing.

We’ve launched Custom Fields, a powerful new feature that allows you to extend the platform’s default data structure and collect additional information adapted to your operations. This release introduces configurable fields that can be added across key entities in the system, enabling more flexible data capture and management.

Custom Fields allow administrators to create and manage additional fields beyond the system’s standard setup. These fields can be configured to capture specific data points relevant to your workflows and processes.

There are three entity types where custom fields can be applied:

  • Customer: Capture extra details related to customer profiles.
  • Driver: Store additional driver-related information.
  • Order: Collect extra operational or delivery details tied to orders.

Onro now enables the creation of custom fields across the platform using the following data types:

  • Select menu (Drop-down)
  • Boolean
  • Number(Integer)
  • Decimal number
  • Text (Single-line/Multi-line)
  • Date
  • Date & time
  • Email
  • Phone number
  • File (Supports all standard formats, including PNG, PDF, JPG, XLS, etc.)
  • JSON

Custom Fields let courier companies capture the exact delivery, customer, and driver information their operations require — from special instructions to compliance details. This ensures dispatchers, drivers, and customers always have the right information at the right stage of the delivery process. The result is more accurate orders, fewer manual follow-ups, and smoother last-mile execution.

✨ Improvements

  • In the registration form, customers can now use just 1 character for both first name and last name.
  • Shipment labels now follow the same order as the orders table, so when the table is sorted, the labels are generated in that same order.

🐞 Bugs Fixed

  • Fixed an issue where address details were not saving correctly in the web app.
  • Fixed an issue where phone numbers weren’t being split with commas correctly.
  • Fixed the default payment method selection in the dispatcher panel, so the correct option is now selected automatically when creating or repeating orders.
  • Fixed user editing issues, so changes to accounts and their filters now save properly.
  • Fixed an issue where some stop or order details could not be opened.
  • Fixed the date filter in the management console orders table, so all available orders now show correctly within the selected date range.
  • Fixed an issue where saved addresses with notes were not showing those notes after being selected in an order creation.
  • Fixed an issue where marking orders as urgent didn’t send them directly to dispatch as expected.
  • Fixed scheduling time slot issues for some services.
  • Fixed issues affecting the map in the iOS customer app.
